Reicher is 9 years of age. Through no fault of his own he was labeled a "bad" dog by Sarasota County after coming to the rescue of his friend Buddy.

Reicher got out on Friday April 2 and went for a run by himself and was picked up by Animal Control.

Sarasota County passed an ordinance that dogs that have been "marked" as bad will be put down if picked up by Animal Control.

In order to fight the death of Riecher an appeal must be made and filed by April 12th 2010 -A minimum of $500.00 dollars is needed in order to file.
